Allegiant Air will begin flying out of Atlantic City International Airport beginning later this year, becoming the second second major air carrier to offers routine flights out of the South Jersey airfield, officials announced Wednesday.

Allegiant's new routes--via Atlantic City International Airport--will depart from Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; St. Petersburg, Fla.; Sanford, Fla.; and Punta Gorda, Fla. The Fort Lauderdale flight will begin service in December, with the other flights launching Presidents' Day weekend in 2026.
