CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Browns let Mike Vrabel out of his consulting agreement early on Monday so he could get a jump on the 2025 head coaching cycle, and five days later, he’s interviewing for the Jets’ vacancy today.

The New England Patriots plan to interview Mike Vrabel for their vacant head coach position on Thursday, according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport. Vrabel was most recently a coaching and personnel consultant for the Cleveland Browns this past season. He was the head coach of the Tennessee Titans from 2018-2023.

Mike Vrabel is getting more and more interview requests. After being fired from the Tennessee Titans in 2023 following two straight losing seasons, Vrabel took a year off from coaching and took a job as a consultant for the Cleveland Browns.
