Florida's governor wants the legislature to offer relief to condo owners facing large repair bills from legislation passed after a condo collapsed in Surfside.

Gov. Ron DeSantis said the Legislature would step in before the end of the year to help condominium owners facing financial turmoil as a result of new building safety regulations that go into effect Jan.

Condo owners are facing a glut of costs because of new safety regulations, and Governor Ron DeSantis wants action from lawmakers.
