FLORIDA — If Hurricanes Helene and Milton impacted you, the deadline to apply for FEMA Disaster Assistance is Tuesday, January 7. FEMA extended the deadline from December to give residents more time to claim losses from the storm. The Albrechd family received FEMA assistance for damage to their home in Dana Shores.
FEMA reports over $1 billion in aid given to Florida after active 2024 hurricane season
FEMA has approved over $1.2 billion in aid, which breaks down to $53 million for Debby, $559 million for Milton and over $630 million for Helene. Survivors of Helene and Milton have until Tuesday to apply for aid. To apply for assistance, click here.
