So, buying and selling stocks will remain open on 1st February 2025. According to the BSE and the NSE, trading activity will begin on the Budget 2025 date at 9:15 AM, as usual, and remain open until 3:30 PM.

The Indian stock market witnessed a strong rally ahead of the Union Budget 2025 announcement, with the BSE Sensex surging nearly 800 points to hit a day's high of 77,537.12, while the Nifty gained almost 300 points.

According to UBS India strategist Anubhav Agarwal, the impact of the budget on the markets is expected to be muted, given that capex and consumption boosts could be limited if the fiscal deficit is contained at less than 4.

With a backdrop of global economic uncertainties and domestic fiscal challenges, the budget is anticipated to focus on economic growth, consumer relief, and infrastructure development.

The 30-share BSE benchmark Sensex jumped 740.76 points or 0.97 per cent to close at 77,500.57. The NSE Nifty opened in the green and surged 258.90 points or 1.11 per cent to end at 23,508.40.​​
