Mahomes suffered a torn ACL in a 16-13 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. After the loss in Week 15, the Chiefs fell to 6-8 on the season. Chiefs star defensive tackle Chris Jones spoke on Mahomes’ injury after the game, clearly showing emotion from the loss of the Kansas City quarterback.

In his post-game news conference, Kansas City head coach Andy Reid gave a brief update on Mahomes, who appeared to be in serious pain on the field immediately following the injury. "As far as the injuries go, Patrick hurt his left knee," Reid said. "He'll get an MRI tomorrow or this evening, whenever they get him in there."
