Well, the Mavericks will be without Doncic for at least a month after he suffered a non-contact strain to his left calf during Wednesday’s Christmas Day loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Doncic left the arena in crutches and he was scheduled to undergo an MRI exam to assess the severity of the injury on Thursday.

Luka Doncic suffered a calf strain on Wednesday's Christmas game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, one that the Dallas Mavericks lost 105-99. He left the game with a few minutes left in the first half, suffering the injury while trying to step back before immediately exiting the game and hobbling to the locker room.

It's impossible to replace Luka Doncic's nightly production and winning intangibles — even by committee. But the Dallas Mavericks may have enough firepower to stay afloat until the Slovenian returns from his calf strain.
