PGA Championship, the second major tournament of the season in men's golf, gets underway at Quail Hollow Golf Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, as the top players in the world set their sights on hoisting the Wannamaker Trophy.

Inclement weather has subsided at Quail Hollow Club as the 107th playing of the PGA Championship is finally underway. Featuring the deepest field of the season, the 2025 PGA Championship may begin with a field of 156 players,

The world's top three players were grouped together, and only one — No. 1 ranked Scottie Scheffler — finished under par. Scheffler survived a pair of bogies and a double to card a 2-under 69. Rory McIlroy, meanwhile, had a rough go of it, carding a 3-over 74. Defending champ Xander Schauffele was one better at 2-over.
