We learned the updated sales figures for Alan Wake 2. After more than a year since its release, the title has begun to make money for the developers.

Remedy Entertainment supported Alan Wake 2 in the months after launch, releasing bug fixes and updates that added features like Photo Mode. The game also received two DLC expansions, Night Springs and The Lake House, with the former telling three anthology-style stories, while the latter doubled-down on the game's horror elements.

After being funded by Epic Games, Alan Wake 2 has now crossed whatever metric it needed to start delivering royalties back to Remedy.

Remedy has announced today that Alan Wake 2 has sold (sold not shipped) two million units and, since Q4 2024, has started accruing royalties for the company.

Alan Wake 2 has now sold more than 2 million copies, according to developer Remedy Entertainment. In a financial statement summarising the company’s results for the fourth quarter of 2024 (and the calendar year as a whole), Remedy says the game passed the 2 million milestone by the end of the year.

Remedy has announced that at long last, Alan Wake 2 is profitable, and that the game has crossed the two million sales mark to boot.

Alan Wake 2 has exceeded 2 million sales worldwide. That's up from the 1.3 million copies sold between October 2023 and March 2024, when developer Remedy hailed the horror sequel as its fastest-selling game ever.
