Two suspects are in custody after a high speed pursuit led to the death of a Nampa Police K-9. The chase ended in a rollover crash leaving K-9 Riddick dead and Riddick’s handler, Officer Cody Huss, injured.

The service for K-9 Riddick will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 6 p.m. at the Idaho Police K-9 Memorial in Meridian. The K-9 memorial is near the Idaho Peace Officers' Memorial on the campus of Idaho State Police. The street address is 700 S. Stratford Dr. in Meridian.

It is the wish of Officer Huss and the K-9 Unit to hold a public service of remembrance for K-9 Riddick. Plans for the ceremony have begun. More details will be shared as they become available.
