The Met Office has issued two amber warnings for snow and ice from 18:00 tomorrow for large areas of England and Wales.

In the area covered by the first amber warning, there will be a more sustained period of snow and freezing rain for Wales and the Midlands. While there is some uncertainty, 3-7cm of snow is likely, with 15-30cm for the higher ground of Wales and southern Pennines.

Three Met Office weather warnings were in place, with more for snow beginning over the weekend as huge parts of the country braces for the white stuff.
