The Spaniard came from behind to beat Jannik Sinner in the French Open final, playing out one of the most memorable matches in history.

John McEnroe said that both Carlos and Jannik could have defeated the best Nadal at Roland Garros, a claim that caused a lot of discussion on social media.

According to Spotrac, that figure will move Alcaraz past tennis legend Pete Sampras for seventh place on the ATP career earnings list. Sampras made $43.3 million during his incredible career, which included 14 Grand Slam singles titles.
