The Giants sent 10 batters to the plate in their six-run fourth. They sent another dozen batters to the plate in their seven-run, eight-hit sixth inning, which included a second home run of the game for both Adames (two-run shot) and Chapman (three-run shot).

The Chicago Cubs have not had much to celebrate over the last several weeks. Sure, they had two different ten-game winning streaks earlier this season, but they followed that up with a ten-game losing streak and just an abysmal run of inconsistent baseball.

The Cubs are in some unfamiliar territory. With their 5-4 10-inning loss to the visiting Athletics Wednesday night, Chicago became the first team in MLB history to win at least 15 straight home games and then lose their next eight straight at home.

Crow-Armstrong responded to a rare defensive miscue with a home run and the eventual game-winning hit as the Cubs scored a walk-off win that rinsed the taste of the last few weeks from their mouths.
