ChargePoint Takes On Vandals With New Cut-Resistant EV Charging Cables
The Campbell, California-based charging network announced Thursday a two-pronged plan to deter EV charging equipment vandalism. The first step is adding new cut-resistant cables that ChargePoint hopes spreads industry-wide. The second is a new alarm system called ChargePoint Protect.

This includes a federal policy several years ago that gave favourable tax status to imported EV cars under a certain power capacity threshold, at a time when no major EV producer actually had a car that could meet the requirement.
