PHILADELPHIA — Just days before the playoffs begin with a Wild Card game against the Green Bay Packers, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts returned to the field Wednesday for the first time since being knocked out of a game and entering concussion protocol on Dec. 22.

The quarterback appeared to hit his head on the turf in the first quarter of Sunday’s 36-33 defeat to the Commanders.

Multiple sources around Hurts have expressed optimism about him playing against Green Bay in recent days, but it ultimately comes down to whether he's able to make it through all the stages of the protocol.
