Other than Handbrake, which won't work for me (see below), can you recommend a video encoder (for Win7; ideally free) that can encode a single, 14GB VOB file to an H.264 .mkv file? For Free?
It seems like this should be a simple thing to accomplish, but I can't see to figure it out. I basically have a bunch of a videos from my cellphone that I want to merge into a single mkv file.
