Microsoft is planning to combine its Xbox Game Pass and Xbox mobile apps into a single application soon. The software maker is testing a new version of the Xbox app for iOS and Android this week that includes features from the separate Xbox Game Pass app.

Microsoft has announced the Xbox Game Pass October 2024 Wave 1 lineup of games subscribers can expect to see them through to October 10.

Sifu, Mad Streets, and Inscryption are coming to all Game Pass tiers in October, with Open Roads and MLB The Show 24 also coming to the new Game Pass Standard tier.

Xbox is moving features from the Game Pass app into the regular one, meaning you'll no longer have to open both to find the feature you want.

While there's a much bigger title coming to the service later in the month, Xbox has revealed the first five Game Pass additions for October. Among them are some newcomers to the new Game Pass Standard tier.

Starting in November 2024, when new downloads of the Game Pass app will no longer be possible, Microsoft will be "streamlining the mobile app experience". As a result, Xbox Game Pass app features, such as library browsing and membership management, will move over to the main Xbox mobile app.
