NORFOLK, Va. — Two people and one pet have been displaced after a fire Thursday, Norfolk Fire-Rescue (NFR) said. Crews responded to a house fire at the 700 block of Denison Avenue around 11:58 a.m. When firefighters arrived, they found smoke coming from the house.

Photos came in of a dramatic apartment fire that had flames emitting from the roof in Norfolk on Tuesday, officials said.

As authorities continue to investigate the cause of the fire that displaced over 30 people here at the Mira Mar apartment complex, the community is helping them.
