It’s a big night for Dodger fans as they get to see Ohtani take the mound for the first time since August 2023.

Nick Pivetta held Arizona to two hits over seven innings and Jake Cronenworth homered as the San Diego Padres defeated the Diamondbacks 8-2 on Sunday to snap a three-game losing streak.

The Padres got two singles and a run off Shohei Ohtani in his one-inning Los Angeles Dodgers’ pitching debut Monday night at Dodger Stadium.

Ohtani was productive with the bat with two hits and two RBI as a five-run fourth inning propelled the Dodgers to a 6-3 win over their division rival.

While Ohtani won't be throwing deep into the game, just his presence on the mound figures to bolster a staff that has been decimated by injuries.
