NEW YORK (AP) — Gerrit Cole pitched six scoreless innings in his return from elbow ligament replacement surgery but shortstop José Caballero's error led to a four-run eighth inning that boosted the Tampa Bay Rays over the New York Yankees 4-2 on Friday night for their 16th win in 19 games.
Sanoja went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Rays. Sanoja turned in his fourth three-hit game of the season Saturday. Despite the eruption, the 23-year-old utility man doesn't seem to have a clear pathway to consistent action at any position for the Marlins.
