The tropical system to be named Milton was expected to become possibly a major hurricane and head toward the western coast of the Florida Peninsula.

Thanks to a frontal boundary expected to pass through our region early Monday, this system has no chance of affecting the western Gulf Coast, but rather the eastern. Florida seems to be the consensus, with heavy rain likely at the very least. A tropical depression or named storm seems likely by early next week.
