In a seemingly non-severe thunderstorm situation today, we actually had tornadoes develop. However, these weren’t the tornadoes we normally have in Michigan. These tornadoes were likely technically called landspouts.
Large hail may be headed back to Denver on Monday afternoon.
Even though widespread thunderstorm development isn’t expected Monday, there is still a possibility of the formation of “landspout” tornadoes. According to the National Weather Service, conditions are favorable for the development of funnel clouds in some parts of the Chicago area,
The tornado watch will remain in place for Elbert, Washington and Lincoln counties through 9 p.m. June 8, but "all other counties previously in the watch have now been removed," the National Weather Service said in a post on X just before 7 p.
