Voting in multiple battleground states was disrupted on Tuesday as numerous polling places received death threats, many of which the FBI said it determined had ties to Russia, prolonging polling place hours and raising the specter of election interference.

Polling places in Democratic-leaning areas of five swing states received bomb threats that officials said likely came from Russia.

Several non-credible bomb threats that briefly disrupted voting at several Georgia polling places originated from Russia, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger told reporters Tuesday.
