Upon arrival, officers learned that a silver four-door sedan struck a pickup truck.The occupants of the truck were not injured, but when officers inspected the sedan, they discovered a bullet hole in the passenger side door and found the driver with a gunshot wound to his upper torso.

The authorities believe the crash, into a union’s strike-day demonstration, was a deliberate attack. The suspect is a 24-year-old Afghan asylum seeker who was known to the police.
