A suspect is in custody after a homicide Aug. 15 in a neighborhood off Hope Mills Road in Fayetteville, the Fayetteville Police Department said. Officers responded at 5:17 p.m. Aug. 15 to reports of a shooting on the 1900 block of Poplar Drive, according to a Police Department news release.
