While there has long been speculation about whether Casey DeSantis would herself one day run for office, sources tell NBC News that, for the first time, she is seriously considering the idea.

The possibility Florida’s first lady would succeed her husband, who will be termed out, has long been wished in some segments of the party, but she has regularly dismissed the notion.
