Less than a week after demanding his resignation, President Donald Trump is now calling the career of Intel's CEO an “amazing story.” Shares of Intel, which slid last week after CEO Lip-Bu Tan came under fire from the U.

Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan met President Trump after criticism over China ties. Intel issued a statement affirming commitment to US technology leadership. Trump described the meeting as "very interesting." Discussions will continue next week.

Cotton apparently expressed concerns aout the "security and integrity of Intel's operations" due to Tan's ties with China. Tan was named the CEO of Intel in March, taking over a company that was losing money due to its foundry business being unable to secure big customers and lagging behind rivals like Taiwan Semiconductor.
