The match between Valencia and Real Madrid has been following massive flooding in Spain. Overall, more than 200 people died in the flooding which hit Valencia and surrounding areas while more rain is expected to be on the way adding to the chaos.

Valencia’s match against Espanyol on Saturday has been postponed after the devastating flash floods in Spain. The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) on Wednesday approved La Liga’s request to postpone Valencia’s league fixture for the second weekend running.

Valencia have asked for their visit to Espanyol in La Liga on Saturday to be postponed as the city continues to deal with the aftermath of the devastating floods that hit eastern Spain last week. Valencia's Copa del Rey meeting with Parla Escuela and La Liga game against Real Madrid were both postponed last week after flooding in the Valencia region caused at least 217 deaths.
