According to the Health Department, a Salmonella outbreak occurred at the homeless shelter... stemming from food served during two dinners on Christmas Day-- or from leftovers served the next day. Meals -- residents we spoke with say they became violently ill.

There have been 14 cases of salmonella associated with the shelter, along with five hospitalizations. According to King County Public Health, many people became sick after eating food served at two Christmas dinners on December 25. Some also became ill from leftovers of the dinners.
