A statement by King Soopers accused union negotiators of “stall tactics and creating uncertainty.” The company said its final offer included significant investments of up to a 6% increase in the first year of the contract and “promises to support, protect and invest” in employees’ interests.

Around 10,000 King Soopers employees are getting ready to vote on a potential strike following failed contract negotiations with the grocer. FOX31's Ashley Michels spoke with union leaders and the King Soopers president about what happens next.

On Thursday, the day before the labor contract extension expired, King Soopers presented a "final offer" to the union that featured "significant investments of up to a 6% increase in year one of the contract" and vowed to "support, protect and invest in the interests of their valued associates," the company said in a release.

The company said Thursday night that it has made its “last, best and final offer” to the workers. It’s unclear if the workers are considering a strike.

King Soopers and City Market met with UFCW Local 7 union representatives Thursday evening ahead of the union's labor contract extension expiration at midnight.
