The Indiana Fever made their first roster cuts of training camp Monday. Rookie Bree Hall and Jillian Alleyne were waived by the team as it narrows down its Opening Day roster. WNBA teams can carry 12 players, but because of salary cap limitations, the Fever will likely have only 11 players on its roster to start the season.

Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky tipped off the 2025 WNBA preseason on Friday with a matchup against the Brazil national team. Reese made the most of her 16 minutes and 40 seconds on the court in the 89–62 win, posting her first double-double of the year with 15 points, 10 rebounds and an assist.

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Fever waived two of its players. In an announcement made on Monday, May 5, the team said it has waived forward Jillian Alleyne and guard Bree Hall. The team thanked both of the players on social media.
