Dallas Stars youngster Mavrik Bourque, who turns 23 on Jan. 8, was the AHL's youngest-scoring champion in over a decade.

PHILADELPHIA — Casey DeSmith stopped 27 shots to lead the Dallas Stars to their sixth straight victory, 4-1 over the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday night.

Matej Blumel and Mavrik Bourque both scored in the opening 20 minutes to help the Stars win on the second night of a back-to-back.

Dallas is back to its winning ways, and not because of its young starlets. That's not a bad thing, but it does raise questions about what that means for a team with the urgency to win it all.
