Ohio State won its first national title in a decade with a 34-23 win over Notre Dame in the College Football Playoff national championship game on Monday night. The Buckeyes jumped all over Notre Dame after the Irish opened the game with a TD.

Coach Ryan Day shushed the critics, running back Quinshon Judkins scored three touchdowns, and the No. 8 seed Ohio State Buckeyes held off a furious second-half rally to beat No. 7 seed Notre Dame, 34-23,

The longest college football season ever, starting in August and ending on Inauguration Day, became an Ohio State coronation.
