Kia is recalling more than 80,000 electric and hybrid vehicles in the United States because of improper airbag and seat belt deployment, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Saturday. The affected vehicles are the Kia Niro from 2023-2025, Niro EV from 2023-2025 and the Niro plug-in hybrid from 2023-2025.

The Sorento Hybrid kept the same base price as before, but several price hikes and the loss of federal EV tax credit qualification mean the Sorento PHEV effectively costs $10,000 more than it did three years ago. The 2025 model was also promptly recalled for a fuel-leak issue.

Dimensionally, the 2025 Honda CR-V is nearly four inches longer than the RAV4 and offers more passenger space. This increase in size stems from the 2023 redesign, which extended the CR-V's wheelbase and widened its track. Honda builds it on a shared platform with the Civic compact car and the smaller HR-V crossover SUV.
