Virginia Tech (6-8, 1-2) and Virginia are the first ACC men's basketball teams heading west to face Stanford and Cal for conference games. UVa will visit Cal on Wednesday and Stanford on Saturday.

Cal beat Virginia Tech 68-59 on Nov. 30, 1991, in the Central Fidelity Holiday Classic consolation game in Richmond, Virginia. Cal travels to North Carolina to face the Tar Heels on Wednesday when Virginia Tech hosts N.C. State.

The Virginia Tech men's basketball team will wrap up its trip to the Golden State by taking on ACC newcomer California on Saturday. The Hokies tied the game at 56 with 5:35 left, but Stanford ended the game on a 14-3 run.

BLACKSBURG — For the first time in five years, the Virginia women's basketball team left Cassell Coliseum victorious. Latasha Lattimore had 24 points, 15 rebounds and three blocks to lead the Cavaliers to a 73-65 win over Virginia Tech on Thursday night.

Virginia Tech has won three consecutive ACC games and five of their last six overall and they will put that on the line tonight when they face rival Virginia.

Virginia Tech faces the Virginia Cavaliers after Rose Micheaux scored 20 points in Virginia Tech's 61-54 victory over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
