The Browns are not expected to part ways with head coach Kevin Stefanski this offseason despite a poor 2024 campaign.

The Cleveland Browns went through a nightmarish 2024 season, finishing the campaign with a 35-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday night. Backup Bailey Zappe started at quarterback in the matchup and played all but one series in the defeat.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Stefanski can breathe a sigh of relief as the Browns are not planning to make a coaching change. Stefanski will return for his sixth season as the Browns’ head coach in 2025.

The interview took place on the same day that Stefanski hired his new offensive line coach, Mike Bloomgren, to replace the fired Andy Dickerson. Bloomgren, who worked under former Browns offensive line coach Bill Callahan with the Jets in 2007-08, spent the previous seven seasons as head coach at Rice before being fired in October.

He interviewed Dolphins quarterbacks coach and pass game specialist Darrell Bevell, whom he worked under in Minnesota, on Thursday, a league source told cleveland.com. He’ll interview Seahawks quarterbacks coach Charles London, likely on Friday, a source said.

This is, of course, the son of Stefanski’s mentor and long-term NFL head coach Gary Kubiak. This has been an obvious name from the jump given the time the two spent together with the Minnesota Vikings and the likelihood that Kubiak will be back on the market again in a few weeks.
