South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley released the Crime in South Dakota 2024 Report on Friday. Overall, it shows that the number of reported criminal offenses went up by 1.21% in 2024. The total number of criminal offenses statewide was 67,959. That’s just over 800 more reports compared to 2023.
It seems the 17 states filing the lawsuit all agree that 504 plans, designed to provide accommodations to students with disabilities, are crucial. It was the inclusion of a new disability that sparked a lawsuit.
