Brenda Tracy, a prominent sexual assault awareness activist, has sued former Michigan State Spartans football coach Mel Tucker for defamation. The 30-page civil lawsuit, filed Friday, alleges Tucker has damaged Tracy’s name and reputation, intentionally caused emotional distress as a result of Tucker’s claim the two had a romantic relationship.

Tracy is asking for a jury trial and damages caused by Tucker’s extreme and outrageous behavior against her (together with interest, cost, and attorney fees). She also wants other remedies as justice requires,
