Fresh off a series of rave reviews out of Telluride and the Toronto International Film Festival, the movie is based on Alexandra Fuller's memoir of the same name and also stars Davidtz, previously of "Schindler's List" and "Matilda" fame.

Sony Pictures Classics has picked up all global rights to Embeth Davidtz's directorial debut, Don’t Let’s Go to the Dogs Tonight, which recently made its world premiere at Telluride. The pic which Davidtz starred in and adapted from Alexandra Fuller’s memoir of the same name,

The film was produced by Helena Spring, Paul Buys and Davidtz, in collaboration with executive producers Anele Mdoda and Frankie Du Toit of Rose and Oaks Media.
