The San Francisco Giants could be the perfect landing place for discarded Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Nick Pivetta.

The Red Sox and Pirates have been frequent trade partners in the last year. Last July, the Sox sent infielder Nick Yorke to Pittsburgh in exchange for starting pitcher Quinn Priester.
