South Carolina out-rebounded Vanderbilt by 13, the third-largest margin of the season. That has been USC’s biggest struggle this year, ranking 11th in the SEC in rebounding margin. USC was out-rebounded in the first two SEC games, before edging Auburn in that area.

Leading 63-61, Vanderbilt guard AJ Hoggard lost control of the ball in the lane and grabbed the ankle of South Carolina forward Collin Murray-Boyles with 41.1 seconds left. After a review, the officials called a Flagrant 1 foul. Murray-Boyles made the two free throws to tie it at 63-all and South Carolina got the ball back.

The South Carolina men's basketball team was on the road Wednesday at Vanderbilt, hoping to notch its first SEC win. Gamecocks are playing without two starters.
