Someone inside ESPN with knowledge of former NFLer Colin Kaepernick’s documentary project said yesterday that the NFL played no role in ESPN’s decision to walk away from the documentary.

While some NFL fans are applauding the decision, as many have grown tired of the Kaepernick story, others are calling out ESPN, suggesting that it was a weak decision.
