A new chapter in the Dallas Mavericks’ injury-riddled season has begun. One without Luka Doncic, who is set to miss at least the next month after sustaining another left calf injury. Life without Doncic means head coach Jason Kidd will employ a different starting lineup that could be fluid depending on the results of the team’s four-game road trip to end 2024.

A person with knowledge of the injury says Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic will be out about a month before being re-evaluated for a calf injury sustained in a Christmas Day loss to Minnesota.

Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic will be re-evaluated in one month after suffering a left calf strain in Wednesday's loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.  The injury came as Doncic attempted to drive on Timberwolves defender Jaden McDaniels.
