Pittsburgh Penguins star Evgeni Malkin's home was burglarized on the same day the Penguins hosted the Ottawa Senators.

Pittsburgh Penguins star player Evgeni Malkin is the latest high-profile athlete to become the victim of a home burglary. KDKA in Pittsburgh’s Jennifer Borrasso reported on Tuesday night that Malkin had his three Stanley Cup rings stolen during a home burglary.

Malkin missed both games with an upper body injury.

After two periods of dominance against the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday night, the struggling Pittsburgh Penguins crumbled in the third period en route to a costly 4-2 defeat that capped a maddening homestand in which they won just once in five attempts.
