Moderate to heavy rain moved in Sunday evening and waves of rain and storms will continue through Monday and into Tuesday, bringing 2 to 5 inches of rain to the region. Widespread flooding is not expected from this rain because of how dry the region has been lately.

St. Louis faces a flash flood warning with heavy rainfall predicted to last into the afternoon, affecting travel and safety.

St. Louis County police just before 4:30 p.m. confirmed the second body has been recovered by authorities. Lemay fire crews assisted in both incidents.

Heavy rain is causing flash flooding in the area. Many roads are shut down, and some schools are canceling classes because of high water in the streets. A polling place located in Eureka also closed Tuesday due to flooding.
