Henriette regained tropical storm strength in the Pacific Ocean well east of Hawaii on Saturday, but forecasters said it was still not expected to pose a threat to land.

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Henriette has regained strength and is once again a tropical storm, according to the National Hurricane Center, but is not expected to have a direct impact on Hawaii. In data valid at 11 a.m. Saturday, Henriette had maximum sustained winds of 40 miles per hour with higher gusts.

Tropical Storm Henriette continues to track west across the East Pacific, but forecasters now expect the system to take a turn that would keep it further north of the Hawaiian Islands.
