Hundreds of people came to Duquesne University on this Veterans Day for an annual breakfast honoring those who served our country.

ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – Veterans and their families attended an annual Veterans Day breakfast at the Rochester International Event Center Tuesday. The event included Taps and various speakers. Organizers said it was an opportunity to thank veterans and their families for all the sacrifices they’ve made.

McDonald’s will be providing veterans with free breakfast in honor of Veterans Day on Monday at select stores. Veterans and active-duty military can come in and receive a combo meal between their breakfast hours from 5 to 10:30 in the morning.

Around 500 service members packed the Student Union Ballroom at Duquesne University for the 26th annual Veterans Day breakfast hosted by the Veteran Leadership Program.

University Veteran Services held a Veterans Day Recognition Breakfast Monday morning at Memorial Union for community members to gather and honor those who served or are currently serving in the U.S. military.

Veterans were welcomed to a free breakfast and guest speakers as the Freedom Honor Flight and UW-La Crosse Athletics held the 12th annual Vets Breakfast.
