WASHINGTON – During the fourth quarter of the Timberwolves’ 120-106 victory over the Wizards on Monday night, Anthony Edwards came to a realization — the Wizards weren’t putting double teams on him as much as other teams have recently.

Anthony Edwards took control in the fourth quarter, scoring 20 of his game-high 41 points, and the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves sent the Washington Wizards to their seventh consecutive loss in a 120-106 decision on Monday.

The Washington Wizards gave the Wolves their best shot through the third quarter and into the start of the fourth, but Minnesota closed the game on a 28-17 run to put them away in a 120-106 victory at Capital One Arena in Washington.
