The Los Angeles Rams are one step closer to clinching the NFC West title after defeating the division rival Arizona Cardinals, prevailing with a 13-9 win in an ugly, mistake-filled game that was probably too close for comfort Saturday night from SoFi Stadium.

The Los Angeles Rams checked a big box on Saturday night when they beat the Arizona Cardinals, 13-9. It improved their record to 10-6, but more importantly, it moved them one step closer to clinching the NFC West.

The Rams (10-6) have won five straight games despite scoring a combined 44 points over their last three contests, also scraping by the New York Jets and San Francisco 49ers. But Los Angeles’ defense has kept the team in the playoff hunt (in three weeks, the Rams have allowed 24 points, with a defensive-driven effort again marking Saturday’s win).
