CHICAGO – President Donald Trump’s promise of mass deportation is stoking fear across Chicago. From Chinatown to Little Village, individuals and many families are fearing the prospect of separation as numerous published reports said federal agents may be planning an immigration raid in the near future.

Local immigration advocates continue preparing for potential mass deportation efforts that could reportedly start as soon as Tuesday.

According to the Wall Street Journal, four people familiar with the plan said on the day after Trump’s inauguration, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will send “between 100 and 200 officers” for the operation.
